In this, I agree with you - there are famous peoples and historical milestone from Russia, but for its huge size and long history, it isn't as dynamic as many other smaller countries. The list of famous Russians (eg. Tchaikovshy, Boris Spasky, Stalin, etc) is short compared to USA. Every country has their celebrities and achievers, but Russia, for its sheer size is punching below her weight. She needs to do more to get attention of the world. You turn on TV and browse, you will come across unlimited shows and programs from USA, highlighting their arts, culinary, sports, events, How many Russian equals? I know it is not a fair comparison, one is capitalistic, the other, a socialist state, but we are not looking at fairness here.

Actually a lot of the most famous classical music composers come from Russia.and Russian traditional music is fabulous just listen to their red army choir on YouTube.and Russia has tons of math and science geniuses which explains its long obsession with aero engineering and space and weaponry.of course the rest of the world is only interested in the mainstream garbage that USA churns out by the cable network load and Hollywood load.

Bro, again I remind you, it is not my view or opinion, it is from my observation of society and the world around that I base my comments. Human made problems result because of consumption, and it is because of this consumption that our economy works to feed. Driven by profit, we find solutions. And it is an ongoing thing. Yes, we may come to a dead end, and perish without ever finding a solution, but todate, that is speculation. In the meantime, we are all on a moving train, and those who wish to jump off can do so, except that nobody wishes to be left behind, so we're all riding that same train headed to nobody knows what. Say if our consumption depletes or pollutes the earth beyond repair, we may have to terra-form neighbouring planet Mars and live there. Will be very expensive, so I hope we will save the planet we now call home. And not hasten its destruction by nuking it.
