Turkey held back Sweden membership for quite a long time. Until US agreed to sell them some high end weapons. But they cannot deny swedish membership forever.
On why sweden and finland wanting to Join NATO is a mystery. Both were never threatened by Russia. Now they must suffer the consequence of being targeted by nuclear missiles if US were to place their nuclear capable short range missiles in those countries. And greta Thurnburg did not even protest.
