Is Palestine statehood possible? Can Palestine" be the 194th member state of UN?
Some conditions must be met in order to become a member state of UN.
To join UN, the country must be approved by
1. at least 9 of the 15 members of the UN Security Council.
2. If any of the five permanent members of the council veto the bid, the country cannot join. China, France, Russia, UK and US make up those five.
3. Israel and the Palestinian government, excluding Hamas (for now), must agree to the two-state solution.
