Recalcitrant Zionist terrorists are even defying Big Daddy's orders. Successive pro-Israel US administrations have truly cultivated an unstoppable monster. The two-state solution is as good as dead as long as Netanyahu is in power.

Israel rebuffs Blinken's call for Gaza humanitarian pause

By Paul Adams in Jerusalem & Anthony Zurcher in Tel Aviv
BBC News

Israel has rebuffed US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's call for a "humanitarian pause" in Gaza.

Mr Blinken said he had discussed the idea with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other officials during their talks in Tel Aviv.

But in a TV statement minutes later, Mr Netanyahu said Israel rejected "a temporary ceasefire that does not include the release of our hostages".
He said that Israel was "continuing with all our force" against Hamas.

The US diplomatic effort came as Israeli military commanders said their forces had encircled Gaza City and were engaged in a "complex urban fight".

Israel's offensive - involving air strikes and ground forces - was launched in the aftermath of the attack on 7 October during which Hamas fighters killed 1,400 people in Israel and and took more than 240 hostages.

Israel's assault has killed at least 9,200 people in Gaza since then, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.

In his visit to Tel Aviv, Mr Blinken offered a message of continued US support and sought assurances that Israel would take "concrete steps" to protect Palestinian civilians.

"A number of legitimate questions were raised in our discussions today, including how to use any period of pause to maximise the flow of humanitarian assistance, how to connect the pause to the release of hostages, how to ensure that Hamas doesn't use these pauses or arrangements to its own advantage," Mr Blinken told a news conference.

He noted that more than 100 aid trucks had entered Gaza in the past 24 hours, where none were permitted until recently, but said this was still not enough.

Mr Blinken, on his second trip to the region in a month, said the US had provided Israel advice on how to minimise civilian deaths while still trying to "finish" Hamas. And he said he had discussed tangible steps on allowing more aid, including fuel, to reach Gaza.

But Mr Netanyahu was adamant he would not allow any fuel into the Gaza Strip. He has also rejected all talk of a ceasefire.

"Israel is refusing a temporary truce that doesn't include the release of our hostages," the Israeli PM said.

The US secretary of state also argued that Israel would only gain security through the creation of a Palestinian state.

Reiterating longstanding US policy on a two-state solution, he said: "Two states for two peoples. Again, that is the only way to ensure lasting security for a Jewish and democratic Israel."

In comments made at a news conference beside the Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Mr Blinken said Israel "has the right and obligation to defend itself and to ensure the events of 7 October never happen again".

Mr Herzog said Israel was going to great lengths to warn Gazans of airstrikes, as he held up a pamphlet that he said was being dropped in the Strip telling civilians to leave the war zone in the north.

As the two men spoke, protesters could be heard shouting on a loudspeaker from a nearby street - families of Israelis who had been taken hostage.

Mr Herzog said that his "heart goes out to them", while Mr Blinken added that the US was thinking "every single moment of our hostages".

"So many, both Israelis, Americans, other nationals - and we're determined to do everything we can to bring them back safely to be with their families and loved ones," he added.

White House officials later held a conference call with reporters and said Hamas had been blocking foreign nationals from leaving Gaza.

Any hope of freeing the hostages would take "a very significant pause" in the Israeli offensive, one of the officials said.

Illustrating the political pressure Mr Biden faces from the left-wing of his party, one Democratic representative launched a blistering attack on him on Friday.

Rashida Tlaib - a Michigan congresswoman who is the only US lawmaker of Palestinian descent - accused the president of having "supported the genocide of the Palestinian people" in his refusal to demand a ceasefire.

"Support a ceasefire now or don't count on us in 2024," she added, referring to his re-election campaign.

The US secretary of state is now in Jordan, which earlier this week recalled its ambassador from Israel.

On Saturday, America's top diplomat will meet Arab leaders who have become increasingly outspoken in their criticism of Israel's actions in Gaza.

The hardliners has gain the upper hand to proceed their political agenda

There are NO hardliners when one has to deal with barbaric monsters in Human form such as the apostate Hamas terrorist group.

Hamas are proven utter cowards & bullies, & presumed Humanity's years of patience, tolerance & donations to them as acts of cowardice, & only got bolder & bolder to further harm Humanity.

They are only capable of hurting, harming & killing innocent unarmed civilian men, women & children, but flee when they meet real TOUGH men for a man to man battle so as to not inflict further harm to innocents.

Only PRAGMATISM exits - it's an existential issue that must be resolved & only ONE group walks out alive to progress & evolve Human Civilization...

Never allow yourself to subscribe towards unsubstantiated conspiracy theories. They are harmful, sow doubts to confuse issues & are distractions to Humanity's ability to achieve peace & evolution.

Anyone can say anything or claim anything, but in the end - . In the scientific World, there are at least PEER REVIEWED articles & claims, but over social matters - WHERE are the Court documents of judgements passed for validation of claims? None

We Humans can only assess & pass own personal judgements OBJECTIVELY thru REALITIES of what lays in front of us based upon our 5 senses DAILY, & further research thru peer reviewed articles, Court judgements, historical antecedents, & at some lower level - honest & NOT FAKE personal accounts of events, etc, to support or not to support causes, for the progress & evolution of Human Civilization.

Hamas is Israel's creation, twit. You can read all about it in your favourite Western media. That it has turned out to be a monster biting the hand that fed it is Israel's karma.

You're allowing your anti-Arab racism and anti-Islamic prejudice to justify all kinds of unsubstantiated claims under the guise of 'objective discourse'. Some clueless Samster even thinks you're a sainted monk. This forum would be a lot better without your holier-than-thou Islamophobic sermonizing passing off as 'neutral analysis." At least the Samsters here who virulently hate Islam (@duluxe, @John Tan) wear their hearts on their sleeves. You're just a pathetic humbug, a hypocrite.

There's a verse in the bible that describes people like you:

"So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of My mouth."

How Israel went from helping 'create' Hamas to bombing it

Hamas has roots watered by Israeli funding, former military governor of Gaza admits

Hamas would not exist in its current form without Israeli involvement, highlights a recent piece published by The Intercept.

The article by Mehdi Hasan, a British-American broadcaster and Dina Sayedahmed, a multimedia journalist based in New York suggests that Hamas, an acronym for the "Islamic Resistance Movement," creation was largely influenced by resources provided by Israel.

"This isn't a conspiracy theory," the Intercept article reads.

The article refers to comments from Israeli officials, such as Brig. Gen. Yitzhak Segev, a former military governor in Gaza.

Segev reportedly stated his part in financially aiding the Palestinian Islamist movement, viewing it as a "counterweight" to the secularist Palestine Liberation Organization and the Fatah party, led by Yasser Arafat (who himself referred to Hamas as "a creature of Israel.")

"The Israeli government gave me a budget," Segev confessed to a New York Times reporter, "and the military government gives to the mosques."

In a startling revelation, Avner Cohen, a former Israeli official who worked in religious affairs in Gaza for over twenty years, told the Wall Street Journal, "Hamas, to my great regret, is Israel's creation."

According to The Intercept article, during the mid-1980s, Cohen even wrote an official report to his superiors warning them not to play divide-and-rule in the Occupied Territories, by backing Palestinian Islamists against Palestinian secularists.

"I … suggest focusing our efforts on finding ways to break up this monster before this reality jumps in our face," he wrote.

Over the past decade -during 2009, 2012, and 2014- Israel has engaged in military conflict with Hamas at least three times, resulting in about 2,500 Palestinian civilian casualties in Gaza.

Hamas has been accused of killing more Israeli civilians than any secular Palestinian fighter group, mentions the article.

Reflecting on the chain of events, David Hacham, a former Arab affairs expert in the Israeli military based in Gaza, admitted, "When I look back, I think we made a mistake."

Thanks for your response.

Each Human has the Divine gift of Free Will, as well as acceptance of the consequences good or bad. The insignificant nobody me will not rob or insult you of your Divine gift, nor do I have any power to do so.

I only sincerely hope that the brutal Hamas terrorist group can live up to your image of them being brave men with good brains, to stand & fight man to man in this FINAL battle, & not try to flee in red crescent ambulances meant for the Palestinians injured, or hide in hospitals using patients as meat shields, or worse - to STEAL from Humanity's food & medical aid meant for the suffering Palestinian People.

Better yet - may they surrender now to the authorities, to spare the innocent Palestinian People as well as their supporters from further sufferings. ALLAH WILL decide the man to man battle outcome, if it had not been already decided - there is NO religion on Earth that supports the hurt, harm & killings of innocent men, women & children.

And CRITICALLY - to FREE the innocent hostages. They had done no wrong to Hamas & were only enjoying peaceful endeavors that ALL Humans are entitled to - to live free, to work, eat, drink, recreation, etc....

UN chief says Gaza becoming a 'graveyard for children'

PALESTINIAN-ISRAEL-CONFLICT-184320_0.jpeg

GAZA - Gaza is becoming a “graveyard for children”, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Monday, amplifying demands for a ceasefire in the enclave, where Palestinian health authorities said the death toll from Israeli strikes had exceeded 10,000.

Both Israel and the Hamas militants who control Gaza have rebuffed mounting international pressure for a ceasefire.

Israel says hostages taken by Hamas during its rampage in southern Israel on Oct 7should be released first; Hamas says it will not free them or stop fighting while Gaza is under assault.

“Ground operations by the Israel Defence Forces and continued bombardment are hitting civilians, hospitals, refugee camps, mosques, churches and UN facilities – including shelters. No one is safe,” Mr Guterres told reporters.

“At the same time, Hamas and other militants use civilians as human shields and continue to launch rockets indiscriminately towards Israel,” he said, calling for an immediate and unconditional release of all hostages.

Israel said 31 soldiers had been killed since it began expanded ground operations in Gaza on Oct 27 and reiterated that Hamas was hiding with civilians and at hospitals. Hamas said the idea that Hamas was based in hospitals was a “false narrative” that the UN should verify.

A Reuters journalist in Gaza said Israel’s overnight bombardment by air, ground and sea was one of its most intense since the Oct 7 attack in which Hamas killed 1,400 people in Israel and seized more than 240 hostages.

The health ministry in the Hamas-controlled enclave said at least 10,022 people in Gaza have since been killed, including 4,104 children.

“Gaza is becoming a graveyard for children. Hundreds of girls and boys are reportedly being killed or injured every day,” Mr Guterres said.

International organisations have said hospitals cannot cope with the wounded andfood and clean water are running out with aid deliveries nowhere near enough.

Mr Guterres said 89 people working with the UN Palestinian refugee agency (UNRWA) were among the dead. UNRWA said five colleagues had been killed in the past 24 hours alone.

“We need an immediate humanitarian ceasefire. It’s been 30 days. Enough is enough. This must stop now,” an earlier statement by 18 UN organisations said.

Yes. First, many US allies are either cutting diplomatic ties with Israel and/or voting for the UN resolution on a ceasefire. Second, domestically the US is facing massive protests across many cities nationwide against the Israeli atrocities and siege in Gaza.

The nub of the issue is that Israel's response is seen to been way overboard, revenge gone berserk. The numbers killed - 9,000 plus so far - and the humanitarian crisis and displacement wrought on civilians have placed the magnitude of Israel's war crimes on a much higher order than Hamas's.

The Biden admin and Blinken are now caught between a rock and a hard place.

A Snapshot of Support for Palestinians Across America

Marches in Washington, D.C., Ohio, Utah and California, with tens of thousands of protesters, reflect the many different groups calling for a cease-fire and lifting of the siege in Gaza.

A crowd of people cover a street in Washington, with a police van surrounded by protesters in the center. Several people are waving Palestinian flags.

At a pro-Palestinian march in Washington on Saturday, the streets swelled with demonstrators, and the crowd was dense. Credit...Amir Hamja for The New York Times

Bearing flags and united in fury, tens of thousands of demonstrators crowded the streets of American cities on Saturday to denounce the scope and scale of Israel’s military campaign in Gaza in response to last month’s terrorist assault by Hamas.

The day’s protests, within sight of the seats of American power in Washington but also in places like New York, Nashville, Cincinnati, Las Vegas and even Orono, Maine, extended and amplified demands for a cease-fire and an end to the siege in Gaza. The demonstrations came a week after vast protests in Asian and European capitals, and a day after the Israeli government appeared to rebuff the United States’ call for “humanitarian pauses” in the fighting.

But Saturday’s demonstrators demanded far more than that, their chants in Washington thundering along Pennsylvania Avenue, their protest signs filled with messages like “Mourn the dead, fight like hell for the living” and “Let Gaza live!” Beyond a swift end to the siege that is exacting a swelling human toll, they also sought a shutdown of American aid to Israel, blending policy demands with anguish and ambition.
Lky would have done the same. Better be internationally isolated than to face the danger of a bullet to the back of head by own security forces. No good solutions here while wily virtue signallers like woker party panders to the moose limp volters. Oh and did u know pitan was a signals officer? Not a coincidence surely!

The trouble is that UN General Assembly resolutions are non-binding. Whatever agenda will be hijacked by the permanent members of the security council.

That's why urgent reforms are needed. As of now, you're right - it's a toothless tiger.

9 countries have recalled their ambassadors from Israel, in protest of its genocide in Gaza. It's ironic that South Africa - once the pariah of the world - is likening Israel likening it to the apartheid regime that ruled South Africa from 1948 to 1994.

South Africa recalls diplomats from Israel

By Carien du Plessis and Bhargav Acharya

November 7, 20235:07 AM GMT+8

PRETORIA, Nov 6 (Reuters) - South Africa is recalling diplomats from Israel to assess its relationship with the country amid a rise in civilian casualties from its war with the Palestinian militant group Hamas, its foreign minister said on Monday.

South Africa has long been an advocate for peace in the Middle East and has rallied behind Palestinians, likening their plight to its own under an apartheid regime that ended in 1994.

Calling the return of diplomats a "normal practice", Naledi Pandor said the recall was to determine "whether there is any potential for you to be of assistance and whether the continued relationship is actually able to be sustained in all terms."

South Africa does not have an ambassador in Israel.

The country is "extremely concerned at the continued killing of children and innocent civilians" in the Palestinian territory, the foreign minister said.

Over 1,400 people were killed by Hamas in the deadly Oct. 7 attack on southern Israel, which South Africa has condemned, while also calling for the return of hostages. More than 10,000 Palestinians have been killed since the war began, health officials in Hamas-controlled Gaza have said.

"The South African government's decision to recall its diplomatic staff is a victory for the Hamas terrorist organization and rewards it for the massacre it carried out on October 7," the Israeli foreign ministry said in a statement.

It said Israel expects South Africa to condemn Hamas and "respect Israel's right to defend itself."

During the Cairo Peace Summit last month, President Cyril Ramaphosa called on countries to not supply weapons to either side of the conflict while its foreign ministry urged the United Nations to deploy forces to protect civilians in Gaza.

Pandor made the remarks in Pretoria during a joint press briefing with her Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba.

She said there had been progress in two of the 10 points tabled during the African peace initiative aimed at ending the conflict between Russia and Ukraine - return of the children to Ukraine from Russia and continued exchange of prisoners.

The minister did not provide any further details on the progress.

Gaza’s communications blackout raises concerns of Israeli war crimes

The enclave is without phone, internet services for more than 12 hours amid warnings blackout could conceal rights abuses.
28 Oct 2023
Gaza continues to be unreachable to the outside world after the cutting of phone and internet services, as humanitarian and media organisations warn the communications blackout could provide cover for atrocities in the besieged enclave.

Palestinians in Gaza were unable to communicate with people outside the enclave for a second day on Saturday after some of the heaviest bombing of the war and reports by Hamas of limited ground incursions by Israeli forces overnight.

Palestinian telecoms provider Jawwal said late on Friday that Israel’s bombardment of the Strip had destroyed “all remaining international routes connecting Gaza to the outside world”.

Nida Ibrahim, reporting for Al Jazeera from Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, said on Saturday that there was “very, very minimal” information coming out of the Gaza Strip.

“After Gaza went into darkness with no communications, no phones, no internet connections, Palestinians here outside of Gaza and elsewhere … feel that they are also being kept in the dark about what’s going on,” Ibrahim said.

“They can’t check on their friends, on their loved ones [and] family members to check if they’re alive or not.”

Amnesty International said it had lost contact with its colleagues in Gaza and the lack of communications was making it increasingly challenging to document rights abuses.

“This communications blackout means that it will be even more difficult to obtain critical information and evidence about human rights violations and war crimes being committed against Palestinian civilians in Gaza, and to hear directly from those experiencing the violations,” Erika Guevara Rosas, senior director of research, advocacy, policy and campaigns, said in a statement on Friday.

Biden will lose due to support for Israeli war crimes

Michael F. Brown Power Suits 7 November 2023
Fissures are exploding in the US Democratic Party over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s onslaught against what he has termed “the children of darkness” in Gaza.

Netanyahu has portrayed Israel as “the children of light.” The same Israel is an apartheid state, which has used American weaponry and related equipment to kill more than 4,000 Palestinian children in one month.

Nevertheless, Senator Bernie Sanders, seen as a progressive stalwart, still refused on Sunday morning with CNN’s Dana Bash to call for a ceasefire. “I don’t know how you can have a ceasefire, a permanent ceasefire, with an organization like Hamas, which is dedicated to turmoil and chaos and destroying the state of Israel.”

In the interview, he also says, “Israel has a right to defend itself,” before noting that Israel does not have a right “to kill thousands and thousands of innocent men, women, and children who had nothing to do with that [7 October] attack … we have got to stop the bombing now.”

He seems to have just a temporary pause in mind. His insistence that “if you [Israel] want this money, you have to change your military strategy” will be completely lost in the pro-Israel lobby group AIPAC’s trumpeting of his opposition to a ceasefire.

Sanders, perhaps embarrassed, pushed back against AIPAC’s highlighting his opposition to a ceasefire, yet still failed to back one, essentially proving AIPAC’s point.

The Democrats are in disarray. There are few places to turn with even Sanders disappointing his supporters.

President Joe Biden’s approval rating within the Democratic Party fell 11 percentage points in October to 75 percent with his overall approval standing at just 37 percent according to a new Gallup poll.

The president’s support among Arab Americans cratered from 59 percent in 2020 to 17 percent in recent days according to the Arab American Institute. Hundreds of thousands of Americans marched and demonstrated on Saturday in opposition to Biden’s war efforts in Gaza.

Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib drove the point home with a video she shared on Twitter on Friday.

“Mr. President, the American people are not with you on this one … We will remember in 2024.” At the end of the video, text states: “Joe Biden supported the genocide of the Palestinian people. The American people won’t forget. Biden, support a ceasefire now or don’t count on us in 2024.”
