The depreciation of an resale 7-8 years old decent Japanese car such as Corolla or Axio is about $900-1000 per month now. I heard a lot of interests among friends around me for these two Japanese cars; good size and depreciation for brand-new at about $900-$1000 per month (excluding loan interests, loan rebate, maintenance, road tax, fuel, etc), assuming you drive for 10 years.

By the look and driving experience if comparing only Honda and Toyota passenger cars Honda will always win. Toyota always known to be reliable and no question asked car but boring in design and driving experience, for younger drivers its Honda for sure.
