Two loanshark runners arrested

TWO men, aged 30 and 62 , have been arrested for suspected involvement in loansharking activities in two separate cases.
On Tuesday, the 30-year-old suspect was arrested in Sengkang at night.
Police retrieved from the suspect mobile phones believed to contain debtors' records.
The suspect had allegedly assisted the loansharks in their businesses by verifying borrowers' particulars, collecting ATM cards from borrowers and distributing advertisement pamphlets for loansharks.
In a second unrelated case, the 62-year-old suspect was arrested on Wednesday in the vicinity of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5.
Similar items were seized from the suspect, with the addition of bank transaction slips.
The suspect had allegedly assisted the loansharks in their businesses by collecting loan repayments and carrying out bank transfers.
The 30-year-old suspect will be charged in court on Thursday.
Investigations against the other suspect are still going on.
