I am planning to make a trip to Bali this December. Anybody can offer suggestions with packages available, breakfast, etc....

Is it expensive to eat out in the resort areas?

What about transport?...from hotel?....to town or village?

Where will you recommend to stay....hotel names?

Anything that will be good to know?

Thank you for all the information.

Why don't you try and have a short visit to Lombok Island while you're at Bali.. Its next to Bali.. Not yet very popular like Bali island but its damn similar to the Bali in terms of beautiful beaches, foods and drinks.. And its slightly cheaper too..

How do you get there? There are some bad reviews of the place. When was the last time you were there???

Was the place dirty? and not maintained....or they have changed to attract tourist. How much was the cost for 3D2N?.....just curious?

I was on a job trip at the waters near Lombok around 4 years ago.. There is an airport there.. If you staying there for just few days, then $300 to $400 should be enough.. Think the place should have improved by now with more facilities for tourists.. The flight from Bali to Lombok is less than 45 mins.. Think it cost around $60.. But sorry I don't know the present price now..

I was on a job project near Lombok.. After the completion of our job, we boarded a boat back to shore.. We stayed there for 2 days drinking, eating and fucking the street whores there.. There was this local shipping agent appointed by my company.. He then bought for us ship crew one way flight tickets to Bali island..

From what I understand back then when I was there, you can buy flight tickets to Lombok on your own when you're at Bali Airport.. There is also ferry tickets available but don't buy them if you care for your safety.. The waters there are very very dangerous and choppy.. Don't trust the ferry operators there as they don't really give a damn about safety.

You need to ask around when you're there.. There are many Aussies in Lombok and Bali.. Many go there as sex tourists and the cheap beer.. Ask them and they would be happy to help.. Never depend on the local guides.. Most of them would leech your money..

Bali can't even finish walking, still go lombok? There is nothing much at lombok, unless one wants to climb rinjani.

1) Avoid Jimbaran for seafood(almost same price as SGD)

2) Hire full day transport(minibus or car/van[usually toyota avanza]) with driver for IDR350K

3) Eat their local food like babi guling, ayam betutu, bebek bengil and some other native indo food like satay, nasi campur, mee bakso etc.

4) Stay close to Kuta(Legian/Seminyak/Kuta)

5) Change your currency here. You won't find a better one there. Those that advertised as better are usually magician who can pull a few notes back from the whole stack without you realising.

Golden rule in Bali: avoid the places with a higher than average concentration of ang mohs a.k.a gwai lo a.k.a farang.

You never know when another bomb goes off.
