the fact that he looks like fuck now shows clearly karma is extracting its pound of flesh. A slow death is better than a swift one, no?
Let's hope for a quick death so that taxpayers can stop paying his multiple pensions and healthcare costs.
Or hopes he suffers terribly and long before he dies.
Does his wife gets his pensions after he dies?

According to the Parkinson Society Singapore, it's estimated that around 6,000 to 7,000 people in Singapore have Parkinson's disease.

However, the actual prevalence may be higher due to underreporting or misdiagnosis.

Early detection and proper management are crucial for improving the quality of life for individuals with Parkinson's disease.

I worry Pinky will kenna Parkinson too. He already looked blur like fuck without the illness.
.

Parkinson various symptoms, including:

1. Tremors: Noticeable shaking, usually in the hands, fingers, or limbs, especially when at rest.

2. Bradykinesia: Slowness of movement, including difficulty starting and completing movements.

3. Rigidity: Stiffness or resistance in the limbs or trunk.

4. Postural instability: Impaired balance and coordination, leading to frequent falls.

5. Changes in handwriting: Handwriting may become smaller and more cramped (micrographia).

6. Reduced facial expressions: Decreased range of facial expressions, often leading to a masked facial appearance.

7. Speech changes: Softening of the voice, slurring, or hesitation in speech.

8. Freezing episodes: Temporary inability to initiate movement, often when starting to walk or turning.

9. Loss of automatic movements:

Decreased ability to perform unconscious movements like blinking, smiling, or swinging arms while walking.

A neurologist experienced in movement disorders like Parkinson's disease can provide a thorough assessment.

Early detection and treatment can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

Some countries in Asia with aging populations and relatively advanced healthcare systems may have higher reported rates of Parkinson's disease.

These could include countries like Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, where the incidence of age-related diseases such as Parkinson's disease may be higher compared to other nations in the region.

his wife has been enjoying his bounty since day one. He's under the old pension scheme, so even her medical is fully covered.

Yeah...it is quite sad for patient and the family. My dad suffered from it for 10yrs, I have seen it and triggered me to think different 活在当下,we only live once so 好好珍惜眼前人

.
If detect early and with early treatment, there is still good chance for maintaining a reasonable good lifestyle quality for 10yrs or more. But it will be noticeable mental capability degradation after 5-6th year...esp speech and attention cycle will drop first

There is no cure for Parkinson.
Existing medical treatment can only slow down the degradation

.

My dad too :(

too young for me to know at that time ... those days only got library , no internet , no ChatGPT , ... :(

.

need to daily remind myself ...

to follow these :

.
While there's no guaranteed way to prevent Parkinson's disease, there are several daily steps individuals can take to potentially reduce their risk:

1. **Regular Exercise**: Engage in regular physical activity, including aerobic exercise, strength training, and balance exercises. Exercise has been shown to have neuroprotective effects and may help reduce the risk of Parkinson's disease.

2. **Healthy Diet**: Maintain a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Some studies suggest that a Mediterranean-style diet, which includes plenty of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and olive oil, may be beneficial for brain health.

3. **Stay Mentally Active**: Keep your brain stimulated with activities such as reading, puzzles, learning new skills, and socializing. Mental stimulation may help preserve cognitive function and reduce the risk of Parkinson's disease.

4. **Get Quality Sleep**: Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night. Poor sleep quality and sleep disorders have been associated with an increased risk of neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinson's.

5. **Limit Toxins**: Avoid exposure to environmental toxins and pollutants whenever possible. Certain pesticides, herbicides, and industrial chemicals may be linked to an increased risk of Parkinson's disease.

6. **Manage Stress**: Practice stress-reduction techniques such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, yoga, or spending time in nature. Chronic stress may contribute to inflammation and neurodegeneration.

7. **Stay Socially Connected**: Maintain strong social connections with friends, family, and community members. Social engagement and support have been linked to better cognitive function and overall well-being.

8. **Regular Health Check-ups**: Stay proactive about your health by scheduling regular check-ups with your healthcare provider. They can monitor your health, identify any potential risk factors, and provide guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

By incorporating these habits into your daily routine, you may be able to lower your risk of developing Parkinson's disease and promote overall brain health and well-being.

Public awareness is very important esp for society to make preparations for the aging population and tailored necessary solutions and investments for returns....we can even attract rich silver retirement folks to here as well

Tiagong , MSM will not report
the actual figures of Parkinson
sufferer.

me think the actual figures
are easily 2 to 3 times more
than what is published.

considering most elderly
stay in hdb flats or condo
apts no exposure to sunlight
no adequate exercise etc...

Family and friends, thank you for being here with us today.

After Mama died in October 2010, Papa’s health deteriorated rapidly. The past five years have been challenging. But as always, Papa was determined to carry on as normal as possible, as best as he could.

He developed Parkinson’s disease three years ago which severely limited his mobility. He had great difficulty standing and walking. But he refused to use a wheel chair or even a walking stick. He would walk, aided by his SOs.
.

.

In 1994, S. Rajaratnam was diagnosed with dementia and was unable to move or talk by 2001. He was assisted by six maids, including his long-time maid of 21 years, Cecelia Tandoc.

Why not? For a Ridout Road big house, you need two or three maids to do the cleaning and laundry. One maid to do grocery shopping, cooking and walking the dog. Another maid to take care of a sickly or debilitated old fart. And if there are brats, a maid will be tasked to escort them to and from school, make sure they behave etc.

one maid to hold the lanjiao, one to suck and one more to clean up the mess. Already 3 maids there. When all you want is fo create employment numbers just think out of the box. How else do you think so many roaches are running around
