Many people are saddened to see WP members get bullied over the Town council issues. To the laymen, if you call for tender and only one contractor comes forth while others fear to get marked because of opposition party running the town council, where do you begin when things need to get done? You have no option right? Of course payments are paid with invoices right? You know, some doctors (GPs) are good and affordable, some GPs ask patients what are their occupations right? We can choose GPs, but how to choose Contractors if they dont come forward to tender ? So what is the beef ? Dr Tan , did the WP members corrupt the payments and put the monies in their pockets? $33 million, the media got fanatic telling the moon abt this sum. If this is corruption, why not put them behind bars? Right?
Not long ago, AMK town council got corruption by the top person, are the MPs there also failed their fiduciary duty. This case was more serious right? Can Dr Tan ask the voters? Then how about the Lehman brothers? Right?
Sad right, Dr Tan, we told you in our last message that please educate the electorates that Opposition parties are actually called another parties or alternate parties, they are not opposing PAP, they are giving the citizens another choice to better their lives. Please ask the voters after 50 years , are they better, have they achieved swis-s standard living, have they escape poverty, if they are not working can the CPF funds grow--no of course right?
Dr Tan, another very important thing, hope you speak up at next GE rally that All Town councils should be handled by HDB itself and create jobs for Singaporeans , period.After all, buyers are lessees and they dont have titles, 99 years later, they have nothing....this is a very serious subject that need not see a debate tooth and nail at the parliament. Only was it decorated with upgrading talks to please the mind of the third- world citizens, right. Nothing after 99 years tag remains. So CPF big fund for Housing is ghost money right?
Elected MPs are law makers, should spend more time debating at parliament to improve policies to make life better for Sinkaporeans. Why put these elected MPs on this dirty troublesome jobs while HDB only selling houses and taking the CPF funds.
Dr Tan, please also tell the voters that is about time we should independently audit all Town councils' account. Only foreign auditors will bring out the truth, and we can see the bigger picture, right?
Dr Tan, you are outspoken man, you are the only hope to speak up.
