While he was president his daughter enjoyed her positions and promotions. It's the least we could do for the daughter of a man who served Singapore so faithfully for the past few decades. With her father's good genes, I am sure she had made many contributions to Singapore leading our stat boards and other government agencies.

Its not only the daughter. His son also maximised his father's connections when father was perm sec and later ambassador. The son used to represent US interest in SEA / Asean. This guy is like a rabbit, moving from one place to another but can't hold on to jobs. Later start being a consultant to US companies looking into Asean. Nothing came of it from what I heard. Later went into fund management. Now partner with Mahathir's son. Son's behaviour typical of African's leaders children's.
