This quick and easy hack could save so much battery on your mobile phone

Android users could save up to 20 per cent battery and increase their ram speeds too by deleting their Faceook app

ANDRIOD users could easily boost their battery life by up to 20 per cent by simply deleting the Facebook app from their phone.

For many, the Facebook app is one of the most used, but sadly it's also one of the biggest phone power drainers.

So, deleting the life-sapping application can give your phone a major battery boost and also help improve your ramming speed.

Tech experts found that Facebook Messenger isn't so bad for battery-draining and Facebook on Chrome is a good alternative for browsing the social site

The simple hack was first noticed by Android Central writer Russell Holly and has since been tested by numerous other tech writers and people on Reddit.

Many have claimed that removing the app can increase battery life by up to 20 per cent and there have been various reports of boosted speeds.

Fortunately, Facebook Messenger isn't quite as battery-draining as the app, which means if you do decide to delete it, you can still run Messenger.

Also, for those of you who want to browse the social media site, Facebook on Chrome provides a good alternative.
