Gist of the folk tale : PM announced publicly in Parliament he will call by-election. Ah Neh lawyer disbelieves PM is not calling an election - saying he only "intends" to. "I am going to eat rice is not the same as I intend to eat rice." Shrewd lawyer volunteers a poor Hougang resident to be a plaintiff. PM calls by-election. Case closes before it starts.
Where is the Ah Neh lawyer who started it all? He appears so sincerely concerned about welfare of Hougang residents that he is willing to fight in court and forgoing expensive legal costs incurred by the poor plaintiff.
