Ya man! tikum tikum sucks!

Carroll playing later confirm? Nothing beats watching a good old centre forward nodding home the winning header!

Carroll and Welbeck upfront tonight. Ashley Young back to his favoured left-wing position.

He will be useful for defensive purposes as well, to try and prevent Elmander or Ibrahimovic or Melberg or Olsson nodding home the winning header.

Walao eh, now have to hear Dennis Wise talking about drying up after coming in from the rain!!!!

Danny Welbeck is keen for his England team-mates to use their performance against France as a platform when they face Sweden on Friday.. England earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw with France in their opening Euro 2012 Group D clash and the Manchester United striker has called for further improvement.

Hard fought? Shocking! I supposed he meant crowding their own penalty box.

The Euro 2012 Group D clash between Ukraine and France has been suspended due to a lightning storm in Donetsk.

The game was only four minutes old when referee Bjorn Kuipers withdraw the players from the pitch after the rain lashed down on the park from the moment that the players arrived on the Donbass Arena surface.

Goalcom’s James Goldman said of the scene inside the stadium: “A magnificent stadium this might be but us journos have just spotted one major design flaw.

“As the players came out onto the pitch they were met with an enormous clap of thunder and then the heavens opened.

“The rain has fallen at an incredible rate and there is already surface water on this pitch, and is sweeping into the press box where we have taken cover under plastic sheets.”

If the game cannot be restarted at any point today, then it will be rescheduled for tomorrow.

Blokhin: France will not attack against Ukraine

The national team coach expects Les Bleus to primarily focus on their defensive duties, and added that the Yellow-Blues remain underdogs

Ukraine coach Oleg Blokhin expects a cautious approach from France in Friday's Group D encounter in Donetsk.

The former Dynamo Kiev star believes that the results from matchday one will not leave Les Bleus needing to go all out in attack, as they could still make the quarter-finals even if they were to lose.

"The group standings will not force France to play attacking football. Even if they lose, they still have a chance to qualify," Blokhin stated at a press conference.

"I don't think they will play particularly attacking football against us. The midfielders and strikers will always be a big threat, though. [Samir] Nasri was the best player against England. I don't know where he will play against us because he is very versatile.

"I think England and France are the favourites in the group. If [Laurent] Blanc said France are an outsider he did not mean it. They have great young players.

"I said after [beating] Sweden, we haven't achieved anything yet. My main task is to give strength to the players and make it possible that we get through the group stage."

Ukraine sit top of Group D with three points form one game, while France share second spot with England following their 1-1 draw.

Based on the performance of the first 20 mins, this looks highly unlikely.
England 1 - Sweden 0 (Andy Carroll)

Sweden 1 England 4

In your dreams. England can never produce that kind of score with this squad.

1. Against the Swedes
2. Their kind of football
3. Even with Roonalty
4. Swedes can beat them 4-1 if they stop playing like Chelsea
5.
