A very cold congrats to the Workers’ Party for exporting its Uniquely Singapore Brand of Vichy “Opposition” to the Chinese undemocratic market.
While the new generation of ChiCom unelected rulers disapprove other Opposition parties and merely shadow them, they have expressed great interest in studying WP Vichy style of Collaborationist “Opposition” which has helped to perpetuate and legitimise PAP one-party rule.
It is very revealing that one of the world’s most Intransparent and most Unaccountable dictatorship, who would otherwise rush to censor and block any Opposition parties from ‘poisoning’ its people mind, would actually feature the Vichy WP in their state-controlled mainstream media and that Vichy “Opposition” is an important player in Singapore’s model of governance. It demonstrates that the Vichy WP has even earned the trust, approval and acceptance from one of the world’s most undemocratic regime as the latter tries to learn, copycat and then replicate its very own Vichy “Opposition” so as to further entrench their absolute hold on power.
As the Chinese are notorious in reproducing fake goods, they would be even more successful in counterfeiting another fake “Opposition” once they have obtained the secret formulas from Vichy WP, who seems to be only too happy and too willing to comply.
Perhaps, it is even more revealing that a self-styled “First World Opposition” leader would choose to share his secrets and participate with one of the world’s most brutal and most oppressive regime to further prolong its tyranny and suppression of its people. Any genuine Opposition leader who understands and believes in democracy would not have collaborated with an autocratic regime to further deprive the freedom and liberty of another human being……But not those Vichy WP eunuchs.
