Thai fined $2,000 for running brothel 'camp'

ON HIS visits here since early this year, Ramrit Apisit, 44, would frequent a forested area off Hougang Avenue 3.
A fellow Thai national, identified only as Pramot, was operating a prostitution den there in makeshift huts.
When the pimp returned to Thailand on June 5 for a visit, he left Ramrit in charge.
On Tuesday, Ramrit, 44, was fined $2,000 by a district court. He had pleaded guilty to assisting Pramot to manage a place of assignation on June 7 and 8.
According to court documents, he and two prostitutes were nabbed in a raid by police officers at 11.30pm on Jan 8.
