It is not just 'theory vs practical'

It is 3-dimensional: Theory, Practical and Self-Interest

Thank-you and you are spot on. I agree with you... am updating my blog thread with your more perceptive topic.

ai yah all the tiko here want her to give it up, so that we can see nicole

Beyond that, having seen Nicole's and Lina's rally performances, do you really think that Lina will perform better than Nicole in the parlimentary debates.

I dread to see Lina been throw m&d at by the Proposition. These are at least 2 scenarios that she will encountered:
1. Her response in the parliament based on is-interpretation of the debate of the day -> gotten m&d from PAP & Media
2. Prepared as she may be by her CEC for her pitch, upon being challenged by the PAP, she fumbles, gotten confused and spew nonsense or make nonsensical facial expression -> incoming m&d from PAP & Media
3. etc

Due to the above scenarios, those many who voted for her (remember that SPP merely loses PP by 114 votes), if she don't make too much public mistakes for these 5 years, SPP (via Ben might still stand a chance), but with her mistakes in the parliament, she will only make CST supporters swing to the arms of PAP.

As for CST running for PP, please have a heart for him. He has done so much for Singapore and is now in a declining health... Lina should really take good care of him instead of being ridiculed in the Parliament and SG. Time will tell, but I can already for see this now, am sure many here as well.

Without Lina in the parliament, TPL as a proven newbie may be the worse performer in the Parliament. But now with Lina, PAP will say, welcome Lina, welcome. Welcome to be slaughtered by us so that the heat will be transfer from TPL to Lina!

Other than that, post election, Nicole said that her first priority is to start helping the MParade resident (as a volunteer, ie. $0). While $5000 is not a lot, but she definitely deserved that more than Lina - remember, it's our money.
