REPORTED in 154th on 7 Feb 2009: "Yesterday's announcement took many by surprise and sparked immediate speculation over the reason for Ms Ho's departure, but Temasek chairman S. Dhanabalan said the change had been in the works for some time.

At a media conference yesterday, he revealed that the investment company had been mulling over the succession question every year since early 2005".

REPORTED in Financial Times on 6 Feb 2009"[Ho Ching] added that her appointment in 2002 was made on the condition that she would remain for at least 10 years to carry out necessary reforms to the once-sleepy state holding company."

So are we taken for fools to believe that on one hand Ho Ching is expected to last 10 years and yet by early 2005 (less than 3 years into her job), Temasek is looking for a new CEO? If she had really sucked in her first three years, why then did it take Temasick to find a replacement only now, in 2009?

After 3 years, Dana realized that she's not suitable for the job, so he reported to Pinky, then he kena slapped, so Lan Lan have to keep her.

This scenerio tioh boh?

What to do? No Free Press, can only guess?

I wonder what other contradictory accounts will emerge. here's my conspiracy theory:

Somehow, the board of Temasick inspite of the Leegime, decided to fire Ho Ching. Is that possible?

Correction: Ms Ho Ching
Published: February 11 2009 02:00 | Last updated: February 11 2009 02:00

* On February 7, the FT reported that Ms Ho Ching, chief executive of Temasek Holdings, had said her appointment in 2002 was made on the condition she would remain for at least 10 years. Ms Ho did not make any such statement at a press conference in Singapore last week. We regret the error.

Aren't U guys always advocating that if the person isnt right for the job they should be sacked. Now that Temasek loss 30% of its fortunes, isn't it good that she's leaving?

This still does not explain the fact that if they've been mulling about changing CEO barely three years into Ho Ching's tenure, it suggests that her performance might not be optimal or that her skills set is different. So why then did it take four years to find her replacement?

And I would assume without this massive losses, they would still be "mulling" over changing CEO until the cows come home and Ho Ching retires.

Simple. She should leave, definitely. But not before apologizing for allowing massive losses under her watch. A detailed assessment of her performance should be given and made public. This assessment should be written plainly such that it can understood by the intelligent lay person (no more of this jargons and double speak).

The amount of compensation she was given to leave should be public knowledge too.

Bro, your memory so good, this is what they hate about people like you lol.

They sure hate people with good memory, keep pointing out what they have said in the past and contradicting to what they have said today.

Why must you make them look as if they are lying?

First of all, if not for rampant nepotism in Dirty Harry's system, a DSO engineer can never be the right person to be CEO of Tamasick, she's just not the right person, her track record proved that right later, hence the call for her to step down.

NOw when shit hits the fan, is really doesn't matter if she stay or leave, damaged already done, at least if she stay, she is accountable, but she choose to leave and pay a fall guy to take clean up her trail of shit.

Not to mention the big bonus for her pass "Contributions"

So it a bloody mistake from start to end, thanks to Dirty Harry. who still insist that she is a talent and we should kiss her feet for her sacrifice.

It's not about settling the mess, it is that she will create more mess if she stayed on! Now we know how LHY over-stayed his CEO job in sinktel.
