Tanglin molester nabbed

A TEENAGER suspected of being responsible for at least three cases of molest in the Tanglin Halt area was arrested on Friday afternoon. Officers from the Clementi Police Division conducted numerous stake outs in the area based on the information and description of the suspect as provided by the victims.
The 19-year-old youth, who matched the profile of the molester, was arrested after an interview on Friday. Since late July 2010, several cases of outrage of modesty in the Tanglin Halt area involving lone females victims aged between 19 and 20 years old were reported.
The suspect will be charged in Court 26 on 21 Aug 2010. If convicted, he may be jailed up to 2 years and will also be liable to caning.
