ST carries 2 reports discussing how Singaporeans cope with inflation, one on reflection of professionals and the other of a house wife.

What strange to me is that the featured picture of both reporting are Philippinos. So are Philippinos a mainstream citizen in Singapore nowadays?

In Singapore, there is NO inflation, just as there are NO beggars on our streets, according to one Mr Kishore. If there is inflation, it is affordable mah.

The best way to beat inflation... Earn more $$$! Your annual increment should be more than enough to cover the 5% rate.

The Filipinos are the one who can speak English, the others speak only Mandarin.
