Its about 20 years since we began politicising sports by putting MPs in charge of them. Look what this has achieved. Anyone with a bit of sense would know that Johor was the poor loser and conveniently used breach of protocol. The Govt decided that MPs would know how to handle such matters and FAS has gone down hill since. The salaries of FAS top 3 are beyond belief.
The Sports Hub has so many issues. We brought Ang Mos who used the climate as the excuse for the wrong pitch. We then brought an Indian from the media world and nothing has changed.
If we keep walking from the very mess that we created and pretend that it does not exist what are we hoping to fix then.
Notice how we Singaporeans bay for the blood of 2 Army Captains, entry level Div 1 grade while we allow MPs, PS, DS and senior GLC folks to walk away shielded by the Gan No Blame Doctrine. I have not seen a single comment in popular forums about accountability for the 8 deaths in SGH or even the overall mismanagement of the Sports Hub.
