Cue the screams, folks, because a Funan Mall McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish allegedly served up something extra crunchy. And no, we’re not talking pickles.
On Dec. 14, 22-year-old Ning was chilling with her boyfriend at Marina Bay Sands. Her boyfriend then swung by the Funan Mall McD to grab her dinner. Little did they know, an uninvited guest was hitching a ride.
When she opened her meal, she said she was shocked to find, nestled snugly beside the fish patty, a live cockroach, feelers twitching and all. Talk about a protein boost.

Ning said she was traumatized, and her appetite understandably squashed.
Ning took to Facebook to share her horrifying experience, and her boyfriend dropped McDonald’s a not-so-glowing feedback survey. The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) also got a heads-up.
It’s worth noting that 30 minutes had elapsed between Ning’s boyfriend receiving the Filet-O-Fish at the outlet and handing the meal over to her – though he stressed that he did not open the meal box nor tamper with the food.
As reported by Mothership, the outlet’s manager offered an apology and some food vouchers as compensation. Not exactly the magic words to revive Ning’s McD cravings.
Meanwhile, SFA conducted an inspection at the Funan outlet and found no roach infestation or food safety lapses.
“Food safety is a joint responsibility. While SFA puts in place and enforces the regulatory measures, food operators must play their part by adhering to good food hygiene and preparation practices,” an SFA spokesperson said.
Earlier this month, a woman took to Facebook to complain about her undercooked Quarter Pounder patty from a Punggol McDonald’s outlet.

McD HQ should take over the Sinkapore operations. Looks like the current franchise owner can't maintain the McD reputation for good, fast food.

If these 2 jokers stayed at MBS for their dinner, then this wouldn't happen. But alas, they are clearly 2 low class brats who can't afford to dine in MBS, so they deserved what they've got.
