Australia is another renown ruthless swindling country, just like India. Previously, Singapore Power had also lost a case when their infrastructure got striked by lightning and caused a massive fire. They also cannot win the case despite the destruction was caused by the nature of God.

When the Australian aborigines have been so badly discriminated and sidelined by the descendants of those unwanted ex-British convicts, what else do these people won't do?

US$640m is a lot of money. WTF?

This continues a long history of red dot companies doing badly overseas-as they are used to the pro businesses culture at home, whether its unions, tax or labour laws.
This is compounded by the fact that top management usually do not have overseas experience and sent people whom they disliked overseas to exile them while keeping all their favourites close to them at home. When it comes to retrenchment, the overseas guys usually gets it first and what you have is a top management who fumble all the time when overseas as the experienced guys have mostly being retrenched to save cost.
Parachuting military people with zero business experience into top management has only made things worse

Totalitarian shithole, no innovation, no creativity. Rigid and sterile.

Sinkieland is basically like a mini Taiwan still being oppressed by the Chiangs. Had that era continued till today, do you honestly think TSMC would happen?

I think Keppel also had another case in Australia where their power cable was disrupted and ended up losing the case in Australia and paid through the nose until now the Australian subsidiary hovering around bankruptcy.

It gladdens my heart to see GLCs get screwed over. Fuck them all.
Don't forget that if GLCs and Temasek lose money, your GST, electrical and water bills, bus/MRT fares will all go up in tandem. So, in the end who is going to suffer more unless you are not residing in Singapore?

They will go up anyway regardless of their fuckups in their strategic investments.

And any wealth they create never trickles down, daft Sinkies think those paltry dividends means they are co-owners and stakeholders of the GLCs. :roflmao:

At this very moment, USD640 million will be miraculously wiped out from our SeePeeF.
