Out of all the column entries, the one that is currently making waves is the time the actor went to acupuncture to treat his neck pain. Unfortunately for the Bollywood star, this was a very unpleasant experience.
In the viral column entry, the now 57-year-old recalled the time he was forced to consider alternative medication after being told by doctors that he needed surgery for a prolapsed disc in his neck area. “They listed all that could go wrong. They said I could be paralysed or rendered voiceless,” he wrote. Worried about the potential side effects, the “Dil To Pagal Hai” star decided to try something less invasive. Or so he thought.
The father-of-three was recommended to one of the “best acupuncturists” in the world for his treatment. However, despite telling the man the pain was in his neck, the apparent pin specialist wanted to stick the needles into the actor’s private parts to fix his neck. Ouch! “As you can imagine it was an extremely hurtful prospect. I was shaken to the core of my being (not to mention, below it),” said the Bollywood legend.
