But escalating food prices and the disruptive effect on food supplies are happening in many places around the world. What had been disruptions to the supply chain due to Covid is now further affected by the ongoing War in Ukraine.
Ukraine is known as the breadbasket of Europe and supplies food around the world. The effect on fertilizer production from the region is an even more significant impact.

Our Government has, in Budget 2022, factored in a range of assistance to Singaporeans to be disbursed during the year and beyond. They are closely monitoring ongoing situation.
