Award from international institution or from PAP own institution? Just like Sinkies actor or actress who cannot make it to hollywood or Golden Horse award will just make do with local "stars" award

Can't believe they shut down Wanbao to keep the Shitty Times afloat. At least Wanbao was sometimes entertaining as a tabloid.

Straits Times is surprisingly a somewhat reliable and credible source for news despite being regarded as a goobermint mouthpiece. Their articles tend to be politically neutral which makes sense because Singapore's political scene isn't that exciting. If the gahment faced more opposition however and politics was more contentious, the Straits Times could have turned out very differently

It's not good in the strictest sense of the word because its content is rather bland and neutral. Even though they are under the de-facto control of the PAP, the articles they publish are not explicitly backing the government's line. As a propaganda tool, Straits Times is less potent when compared to China's Global Times or Russia's RT.

That's because most of their 'articles' are plagiarized from the various western newspapers and news agencies.

To get a concentrated, unfiltered sample of the drivel which the Shitty Times put out, go to their opinion and editorial section. Also, check out the letters published on the Forum page.
