With this location being able to only operate at certain hour only, the hawkers should actually bid more modestly.
For example, Mon to Fri. 7a.m to 4p.m is your only realistic chance of making decent money. There's no crowd on sat, Sun and public holiday. In short they only have less then 20 days a month to make ends meet. The expenses includes, rental, all the fees, utility, costs of ingredients and your own salary..
How on earth can they bid 3k for a stall? The singkie does not have a brain to think through? If your gross sales can't hit 1000 per day, I think it is more worth it to drive grab.
If the same stall run by jihu Kia In a coffeeshop can command 4500 rental. The singkie bird brain must know that these jihu Kia has the incentive to work their ass off. They are here to make money. Be their own boss.
So a modest 800 should be the highest bid they can go.
