A totalitarian shithole regime will need to keep building more things to sustainably grow the economy. I see now that some of those things are not made with steel and concrete, but are various 'knowledge-based' projects which leech off the public sector.
It is my firm belief that the SG govt is too bloated, its manpower should be reduced by around 80%. How?
1) Reduced benefits.
2) Hiring freeze.
3) Scholarship limitations.
4) Early retirement incentives.
5) Merging and sometimes eliminating certain departments.
6) Training existing govt employees adequately so most of them can find a real job in the private sector within five years.
