SG drivers are worse than PRC drivers

With supposedly high standards and difficult to pass LTA driving tests, SG drivers who passed not only avoid using turn indicators, display serious lack of road courtesy but also do not know how to drive properly or overtake safely as evident in these deadly overseas crashes.

PRC drivers are horrible and reckless too due to their corrupt practices in driver testing and forged licenses.

Sporean drivers might be OK in city driving where it is regulated by traffic lights, lines on the road, simple rules to follow,.... etc.

However when they need to use common sense, judgement,.... they get into problems. I remember reading about the many accidents that SIA staff got involved in Australia. It was usually in the country side & not in the city.

SKILFUL driving and experience plays a larger part than just good luck in avoiding fatal car crashes. Overseas drivers from congested urban centres like SG are not competent to drive on open roads at high speeds even with the BEST OF LUCK.

A comparison between the two sets of data shows that tourists in rental cars make up a small percentage of all the vehicles on New Zealand roads in any month, but overseas drivers are involved in a much larger percentage of fatal and serious crashes.


In the Canterbury example, tourist drivers make up about 2.6 per cent of road traffic on average for January, but are at fault in about 7 per cent of fatal and serious crashes.
