It's not ONLY Singapore that is facing a heatwave, but MANY other Nations that lay within the tropical zones such as India, Thailand, Malaysia, etc. Thus NO NEED TO SENSATIONALIZE & PINPOINT our small little red dot.....do pardon me....
It IS a good advice from embassies & should be respected, as each life is precious & means something special to another.
Ultimately, each Human had been given Free Will, to chose WISELY. We in Singapore wants NONE hurt - local & foreigners, & will do our best to find MITIGATING solutions to beat the heatwaves, as our ancestors & even ancient ancestors whom faced FAR WORSE than todays rising temperatures - they had not even aircon tech or knowledge of instant info from cell phones, & yet SURVIVED, to give us our todays....
Hydration is CRITICAL. So too many other solutions developed over the progress & evolution of our Human species - sunglasses to protect the UV rays upon eyes, light colored clothes, stay out of DIRECT sunlight when possible, etc, & screw every SELFISH corporate, education or religious standard operating procedures that prohibits the cooling of Humankind....
In the end, tough times do not last, but only tough Humans do.....proven since the dawn of Human Civilization. It will be ADAPTION to weather conditions - rain or shine, its INNOVATIVE solutions, that we Humankind will survive, as our ancient ancestors had proven.....

1) Clusterfuck at the Changi Jewel or the airport terminals.
2) Take the MRT and go to a mall directly connected to the MRT station e.g. Ion Orchard, Vivocity, MBS mall.
3) Stay at a hotel that is connected to a MRT station.
4) Wine, dine, shop, fuck to your heart's content, only at those places.
