POLICE have arrested a man who is believed to have been involved in several cases of rental scams involving camera and event equipment. The 43 year-old named by victims as 'K Saravanan' is suspected to be behind a series of scams in which he failed to return cameras and event equipment he had rented.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect is involved in at least six cases and had sold off all the rented cameras and equipment. The suspect will be charged in Court on Wednesday for criminal breach of trust. If convicted, he faces imprisonment of up to seven years and fined.
