Security upped at Jakarta embassies

Security at the French Embassy in Jakarta has been doubled and police are offering 24-hour supervision to the embassies of Australia, the US and other European countries, reports say.
Jakarta Police spokesman Muhammad Iqbal told local news website Tempo that besides patrols, "intelligence has been added to listen and investigate" in the wake of the Paris terror attacks, and all ambassadors have been invited to a briefing on security.
Australia's embassy in Jakarta was targeted by terrorist group Jemaah Islamiah in 2004, killing nine people including the suicide bomber.
Security is also being stepped up in Bali, where bombers targeted Australian and other foreign tourists in 2002 and 2005.
Bali Provincial Police spokesman Herry Wiyanto says bus terminals, airports and ports are priority areas, as well as consulate-generals and the tourist hot spots of Denpasar, Kuta, Ubud, Jimbaran and Nusa Dua.
"Conducive security is necessary for our tourism industry to grow," he said, as quoted by newspaper Tribun Bali.
Immigration and Interpol are also closely monitoring arrivals into Bali, he said.
