Security Guards here ask for personal information

There is this "anti-privacy" culture here where security guards at building demand for visitors' full name, ic number, mobile number, car number, etc. Might as well ask for mother and father's names. No wonder we get all these spam calls and emails. And there are people who willingly reveal their whole family history without so much as to ask the need for it.

Have seen this being practiced in both. Of course there are those condos where the security guards prefer sleeping to even raising their hands and wave you by.
