LHL should fire his current PR team. Such lousy strategies from cheapo PR firms.
They have gazetted the Economist before - it didn't kill the Economist, and it won't kill them now. The Economist is more important for Singapore than vice versa.

A couple of months back, it was announced that Janandas Devan was appointed Chief Communications Officer or something but he has been very quiet.
That in itself was a stupid appointment because Janandas may be a good writer but marketing communications is a totally different ball game.
But then again, maybe his advice keeps getting being rejected.
There doesn't seem to be some focal point for making government pronouncements.
If that is true, LHL is truly fucked.... npt that it is a bad thing.
PR is all about positioning and public impressions. It is also about who you know in the media world, especially in the international arena. What would a writer know about that?
