Robber bashes woman with heavy rock, cracking her skull

If the robber had demanded the handbag, his victim, who was trapped in a lift with him, would have surrendered it.
Instead, he viciously bludgeoned Miss Chan Siew Say (above), 49, from behind with a rock so many times that she ended up with a crack on her skull and a head wound that needed 10 stitches.
The attack occurred at about 10.30pm on Wednesday at Block 23, Jalan Membina, in Tiong Bahru.
“He kept hitting me non-stop like he was crazy. He hit me all the way to the 13th storey," Miss Chan said.
The robber ran off with her bag, which contained $1,000 and her mobile phone. Police investigations are ongoing.
