the trend now is many rich men park their money in gold bonds, promise 6% return annually.

i calculated in order to have a decent $3000 per month to spend, i will probably need 1 mil.

i heard only top 5% make it a living as a trader. anyway, i am more of a speculator, it interest me a lot when i see market being manipulated, who are these people? meanwhile, i am still observing...and i just like to scalp, not much money involved too. thanks for your concern and that's all i can disclose for now.

My points exactly.

To earn a regular income by trading regularly on margin account IS speculating. Gold, Commodities, Stocks, that are all the same, only different product for you to speculate,
I rather go Casino and bet once, at least you don't waste your time.

These lessons are painful but necessary
There are no free lunch, the are looking for sucker so watch out and see beyond the surface.
Time is money, look out for stuff that appreciate it's value in time
Make enough, any excess is just sucking your time to worry about loosing it and your time is on a count down stopwatch.

i did not take up this, but i am quite sure one of the local banks is offering this. my friend has parked many millions in this. btw, i heard the personal bankers from this bank very stuck up, they will change their tone according to the money invested. you will have to telephoned them inorder to find out more.

i think 6% return annually is not much, just fair.

Which bank? I did a search and can't find any bank offering a guaranteed 6%. Is this an exclusive deal just for you?

Why gamble ? The rules and the odds to win is there Clearly. If u have to gamble be the bookie. That's what banks do, that's how "they"rule the world.

Karate Movie, Miyagi says : Don't fight ! If must fight .. WIN ! :p lol...

I think when banks give you these type of guaranteed returns, it is with terms. And if the conditions are not met, the contract is called of prematurely.

Myth says that left is good right is bad. Time of the day it occurs does make a difference too.

Why can't you simply tell me which bank so I can give them a call to gather more details. A 6% guaranteed return is an excellent deal given the current slump in interest rates the world over.

Even the Kiwi dollar only pays between 4% to 4.5% which is pittance by historical standards. 4 years ago, I was getting 9.5%.

This is what I've gathered from other sites :

Drawbacks of Gold Bonds

Against the backdrop of the global financial crisis of 2008, gold bonds have emerged as a save haven for investors. However, one must not forget that gold bonds can be prone to the following risk factors:

  • Strong fluctuations in gold prices will result in substantial fluctuations in the price of gold bonds.
  • The mining company might stop the production of gold when mining costs exceed global gold prices. In such cases, the redemption of existing gold bond will yield lower returns.
  • These bonds have a lower rate of return than do other variable-income debt instruments.

I cannot find any institution that is offering a fixed return of any sort.
