it's ridiculous when california passed a state law last year to allow illegals from mexico to use their mexican consular id as substitute for dmv-issued driver's license and valid id for job application, rental application, bank account application, registration to vote, etc. however, it cannot be used for boarding at the airport as all airports are under federal or faa and tsa jurisdiction. within sanctuary cities in californa, city police cannot arrest them and other illegals from other countries when they break federal laws, including stealing weapons from federal agents from border patrol to fbi to dea to atf to u.s. marshals. they may be violent criminals in their own cuntries but they are protected, defended and harbored by these sanctuary cities at taxpayers' expense. because of these stupid sanctuary city laws foreign criminals and illegals are swarming into 6 cities in the bay area: alameda, berkeley, oakland, richmond, sf, and sj. the more of them the more influence they have on local politics and politicians as they can register to vote simply with consular id and an address. any challenge is construed as discrimination, and their activist attorneys and advocates that are funded by sympathetic sponsors and liberals will sue and drag out cases in court. no wonder burglary, robbery, rape, murder rates have gone up in all these cities plus the increase in gang activities and illegal organized drug making and trafficking operations. local police are avoiding to confront these foreign thugs, and ironically black gangbangers are the only ones left to defend the inner cities from the foreign invasion. it's high time for federal law enforcement to swoop in in a massive way to clean house and have the city police and county sheriffs to get out of the way.
