The Worker’s Party has thus far chosen to remain aloof, seldom cooperating publicly with other opposition parties except during an election period when everyone wants to avoid 3 cornered fights.

The guy never ceases to make me suspect that his grievances with WP are more than just the surface, and I am beginning to believe you that he actually knew them. I find his articles balanced on everything else, even on PAP, except when it is anything that remotely concerns WP.

He cannot not realize that the issues all in the opposition raised are probably 99% the same things and it was the 1% that made the difference between a lawsuit and not - and nothing of the 1% was about the system. For eg. JBJ's lawsuit was about announcing a police report made by Tang - nothing even at all about the system. No one has ever been sued about saying unfair election system, so I don't think LTK or WP needed to shy away from these issues and indeed I have heard their opposition to GRCs, POA and all unlike what this Ng Ejay said.

the trouble with SDP is: although they claim they are against the PAPS domination, sometimes we get to witness that they were actually hitting at other opp parties for hidden motives only known to them.

In a sense, you are right that WP is "RELATIVELY BIG" but in actual fact, VERY SMALL as compared to any party that is ready to take over as a government.

It is going to be a very short sighted view that because you are "RELATIVELY BIG" thus you don't need to care about those who are smaller than you. The truth is, when the time comes, most probably there will be a period of transition whereby no one political party has more than 50% of the seats and a coalition government would be formed. How is WP going to garner cooperation or form any coalition government with other smaller parties' support?

it's almost 44 yrs of independence. if opp parties could really make the slightest impact or progress, they would ve done so after so many erections, they didn't seem to cum - literally:p

the reason is quite clear. most of the political wannabes place themselves higher and more importantly above SERVICE. they consider their pride, ego and mock faked up reputation more important than the real cause. hence, the failures of opps to win wards results GE after GE. beside the regular 2 opp wards, the opp political advancement is just stagnant there. it seems that time stops there for them.

may i ask now, how could the opp parties as a whole make any progress? how can peasants put their faith to such wannabes to look after their welfare?

sadly, the kind of X-factor calibre, sincerity and honesty are amiss in many of these prospective candidates. in simple term, they do not give the confidence and trust deserving from the peasants and hence their votes.
