另据部分以色列媒体报道称，早前，以方对叙政府军掌控的T-4机场多次进行过打击，致使该基地损失惨重。T-4机场是叙利亚的重要中转基地，一直以来戒备松弛，仅靠S-200防空导弹这类较为落伍的装备维持空域安全。
