SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 42-year-old man for suspected involvement in loanshark harassment, following a tip-off from a member of public yesterday evening.
He was seen behaving suspiciously along the corridor of a block at Yishun Street 71.
The suspect fled but was detained after a short chase.
Following an interview, the suspect was placed under arrest for suspected involvement in loanshark harassment.
A bicycle lock and debtor's note found in his possession were also seized as evidence.
Initial investigations revealed the suspect was a debtor-turned-runner and had intended to commit loanshark harassment at the said location.
