A PRISONS officer was charged on Wednesday with molesting a 13-year-old girl at a carpark in the Marina Bay area earlier this year.Selvaraj Karuppiah, 51, allegedly stretched his hand to brush the girl's chest at the pick-up point of an open space carpark of Republic Boulevard at about 9.20pm on Feb 20, the second night of Chingay Parade.Selvaraj was represented by Mr Rajan Supramaniam, who told the court that he had just been briefed.If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to five years or fine or both.The case was adjourned to Nov 22.
