Very unfortunately, none of the ideas will ever be allowed to be implemented by the 'powers that be' for to do so for any one of them will be an admission of the failures of their policies.
What do you expect???... how well they are going to treat the progenies of the coolie class.....remember, Singaporeans are NOT natural aristocrats!!!!

even if this ideas want to roll out is not going to be easy as it has already gone out of hand. how to kill so many cockroaches at 1 sweep ? if not 1 sweep how to slowly sweep ? who to sweep ? flats already all a sold how to take back ?
Very correct.
They have made the policies so deeply ingrained that to unravel any one of them would have caused howls all around. For example, if they want to change the prices of hdb flats now, those who have bought theirs even at the supposed 'subsidies' prices (not to say, second hand prices) will send a humongous howl that will be heard around the world.
Why? Because,
a) they don't want to see the value of their 'asset' being devalued, especially the kerlings, pinoys and prcs who now see their dreams of wealth disappearing before their eyes. They can no longer sell off their hdb, renounce pr and citizenship and take the money back to their cuntry to enjoy happy retirement, using exchange rate differences to their advantage.
b) they will say, very unfair, we pay high prices while now people will pay low prices and
c) we cannot stand those in the past who earned and benefitted from the bonanza out of hdb, while we could not!!!
Even if a non pap govt were to take over, they would be at a loss of how to tackle the ingrained interests and built in 'presumed' benefits from pastfailed policies.
That is why we see Trump, a visionary and patriot who wanted to make urse great again see his initiatives and new policies being defeated one by one - mostly by ingrained self interests....and inertia....so sad!!!
Only two events may totally change the present failed policies for the better.....but this is another story....:(
