In the Suntec brawl case involving the 3 FTs and the taxi driver, the IO gave the same excuse. But the main reason was that the IO bo-chaped. I agree that this IO should be investigated and criminal charges should be laid against him.

Is the Station Inspector trying to kelong the case by purposely appearing to be incompetent?

He should be investigated for his actions and thrown out of the Force. SPF must take action against him, failing which, a repeat of his substandard investigations will put the Force in very bad light.

CP should personally look into this and not sweep this under his carpet.

It's an honest mistake. Why keep harping on it? For the WP town council, it was not. That's the difference. That's why our PAP need to dig deeper and hold WP accountable!

We have leaders who have become lenient and seek to give everyone a second chance. But that can become a problem if the issues keep repeating. What needs to be done is clear accountability. Not in the literal sense of Hara-hiri, but surely, the under-performers have to go. They are pulling the rest of the good performers down and giving a bad name to our key institutions and to the country.

I'm no fan of LKY but at least during his time there were competent people running the show. Probably because many of them advanced in their careers through merit. During those early days the problem of cronyism, family ties, old boys network,.... were limited.

Just look at todays so called leaders, overpaid & obviously sleeping on the job. It's probably no coincidence that many got where they are because of connections rather than merit.

Sad to say but I think Spore's golden years are over & now we will see the downfall.
