Police have arrested a 51-year-old man in connection with a Stirling Road robbery that was reported on Saturday.
The victim, a 15-year-old female, reported to the police at midnight that she had been robbed of her $400 mobilephone.
This after the suspect, on the pretext of borrowing her phone to make a call, ran off with it. He also assaulted her in the midst of a scuffle.
Officers from Clementi Police Division, however, managed to trace and arrested the suspect in the vicinity of Henderson Crescent on Tuesday at about 11.30 am.
