SINGAPORE: Police have arrested four youths suspected of involvement in loanshark harassment activities. They are between 14 and 26 years old.
Acting on information provided by a resident, police officers arrested two youths, aged 14 and 16 years, at Yishun Street 81 on Friday evening.
Later that night, police detained another two suspects, aged 17 and 26, in the same area, following a tip-off from another resident.
Police said preliminary investigations revealed that all four suspects are believed to have carried out acts of loanshark harassment island-wide by splashing paint, scrawling loanshark-related graffiti and harassing debtors for loan repayments.
