SINGAPORE - The second day into Comfort-Delgro's taxi fare increase has seen the ire of some passengers.

Seen in this photo taken by TODAY's deputy multimedia editor Sion Touhig, a frustrated member of the public had defaced a Taxi sign outside Bishan MRT station.

The words "15 1/2 hrs surcharge. Daylight robbery??? Pay + pay. Are we donkeys [sic]" had been scrawled across the taxi pricing information panel at the taxi stand.

TODAY was unable to reach LTA for a comment.

Heehaw!, heehaw!, Bishan!, is it true one can sign up to play golf with Ah Seng!? At least one bright SINgaporeans, got it figured that the surcharges are Fifteen & a half hours!!

0600hrs to 0930hrs - 25%

Monday to Sunday & Public Holiday...might as well, make it 24hrs surcharge...they think we are 'dinkey'... ha ha ha ha

Sounds familiar, isnt it? Who voted them in? :Lets line them up and gave them a round of applause. U just cannot teach an old dog new tricks. Anyway, it doesnt affect me. I cannot afford MRT fares, how to take taxi. I also cannot ask you to boycott because taxi uncle very sad. May GOD bless you and Singapore if there is one...... Upon thinking, I think there is one ..... but GOD doesnt need to take taxi ....

It is time, we vote with our wallets!! hmmmm!!, we are paying too much for goods & services or government, we don't patronize; we don't pay.

Where is that fair trading whatever?, now SMRT Taxis will raise their fares & follow the leader, sooner or later tha smaller taxis companies will follow, where is that fair competition? what's that toothless CASE going to do? or the Pass The Cost (PTC) view on this, where they consulted??

Are we, Donkeys? that is the question, are we??:p
