From SPH dated 12 Jun:

"Probably the first country to do so, Singapore's decision to delink its government computers from the Internet could spur other nations to take a similar step.

Minister for Communications and Information Yaacob Ibrahim said yesterday that since The Straits Times reported last week that 100,000 government computers will no longer have direct access to the Web from next May, other countries have expressed interest.

"You'll be very surprised at the kind of responses I received from my counterparts. They want to know how we do it," he said. "In fact, I was seated at a dinner and one of the ambassadors said 'We were surprised that you decided to do it and we want to learn from you because we think this should be done'."

What grass was this guy on when he said the last paragraph?

If that happens in any other country, except North Korea and China, there will be sit-in protests, strikes and riots by the gorvnment service.

Only in SG that these ministers have such an easy life to control the livers, work and everything the peasants do, including their money. Yet they gave themselves the world's highest salaries. Of course 70% approved that.

In other words , pass the problems on from them to you. And 70% of Singaporeans agree this is a good thing.

Agree...pap doesnt seem to be able to solve any problem.

If any problem, either pap denies that's a problem or passes it to Singaporeans.

1. If any cyber security problem, ban the internet
2. If traffic congestion problem, increase ERP
3. If Outpatient clinic is crowded, increase consultation fee from $42 to $52

Sad that the pap is able to get away with such comments

Because the pap has easy life, that's why Singaporeans have difficult life.

I dont think pap ministers have easy life under LKY. How pap has fallen under LHL!
