Only the oppressive elites can ride a horse in England. The rest of us poor peasants don't even get to touch a horse. Damn those elites

Already a bronze medallist at the London Paralympics, para-equestrian rider Laurentia Tan outdid herself early on Wednesday morning when she took a silver in the Grade Ia individual freestyle test.

She scored 79.000 points, behind Britain's Sophie Christiansen and ahead of Ireland's Helen Kearney (78.450).

This is Tan's second medal at the London Paralympics, having already taken bronze in the individual championship test earlier. It is also Singapore's second medal at the 2012 Paralympics.

London-based Tan was born with cerebral palsy and profound deafness.
