We heard from our informant in TOC that some of you have been unhappy with the way TOC is being managed now.
You are concerned about the lack of clarity on the future direction and mission of TOC.
Some of you had wanted TOC to become a formidable online newspaper like Malaysiakini, which Remy Choo and Andrew Loh are not keen to.
Here, we have set our goals explicitly in no uncertain terms that our long-term goal is to set up a Singaporekini as a counterweight to the mainstream media.
We are ready to fund this project entirely from our own pockets and we have allocated a sum of S$50,000 as a startup capital. What we need is human expertise and experience to run it continuously for a period of time.
Our criticisms of TOC is directed mainly at Remy Choo and Andrew Loh. We have nothing against the rest of you and are more than willing to work together with you.
