Observations Made at the Casino

These are my observations:

a many gamblers profess to be experts even to the point of being able to predict outcome of a hand, 50-50 chance in most cases
b when their predictions come true, seepay yaya but these experts bet very small amount
c when their predictions bey choon, a million and one reasons why inaccurate

d the most irritating patrons are those who make their presence known either through bad table manners or speaking loudly
e they will curse father and mother (not theirs though) when losing, especially by just one point in a baccarat game
f some will verbally attack the croupiers even though it cannot be the fault of the croupiers

g some gamblers actually believe in certain rituals to gain an advantage over the casino when it is very clear a game of chance is a game of chance

h i find it very irritating when a newcomer to the table changes cash for chips when a game is just about to commence. why can't they change at a table where no one is gaming?
i there also exists a certain category who will take all the time this world has to offer to deliberate on their bet and yet when loke tu, super small amount
j some will cause inconvenience by choping their seat all night without betting when space is needed to place your bet

The list goes on and on ...............................

Solution - Dont gamble.
Gambling will lead to addiction sooner or later.
Its like smoking or drugs.
PAP has betrayed Singaporeans by allowing these casinos to infiltrate our lands.
Generations to come will suffer from gambling addiction, increase, social problem, crime and more crime.
Its not going to end ... even family disputes over inheritances, etc....

During the Great Depression, there was a man who walked into a bar one day. He went up to the bartender and said, "Bartender, I'd like to buy the house a round of drinks."

The bartender said, "That's fine, but we're in the middle of the Depression, so I'll need to see some money first."

The guy pulled out a huge wad of bills and set them on the bar. The bartender can't believe what he's seeing. "Where did you get all that money?" asked the bartender.

"I'm a professional gambler," replied the man.

The bartender said, "There's no such thing! I mean, your odds are fifty-fifty at best, right?"

"Well, I only bet on sure things," said the guy.

"Like what?" asked the bartender.

"Well, for example, I'll bet you fifty dollars that I can bite my right eye," he said.

The bartender thought about it. "Okay," he said.

So, the guy pulled out his false right eye and bit it. "Aw, you screwed me," said the bartender, and paid the guy his $50.

"I'll give you another chance. I'll bet you another fifty dollars that I can bite my left eye," said the stranger.

The bartender thought again and said, "Well, I know you're not blind, I mean, I watched you walk in here. I'll take that bet." So, the guy pulled out his false teeth and bit his left eye.

"Aw, you screwed me again!" protested the bartender.

"That's how I win so much money, bartender. I'll just take a bottle of your best scotch in lieu of the fifty dollars," said the man.

With that, the guy went to the back room and spent the better part of the night playing cards with some of the locals. After many hours of drinking and card playing, he stumbled up to the bar. Drunk as a skunk, he said, "Bartender, I'll give you one last chance. I'll bet you five hundred dollars that I can stand on this bar on one foot and piss into that whiskey bottle on that shelf behind you without spilling a drop."

The bartender once again pondered the bet. The guy couldn't even stand up straight on two feet, much less one. "Okay, you're on," he said.

The guy climbed up on the bar, stood on one leg, and began pissing all over the place. He hit the bar, the bartender, himself, but not a drop made it into the whiskey bottle.

The bartender was ecstatic. Laughing, the bartender said, "Hey pal, you owe me five hundred dollars!"

The guy climbed down off the bar and said, "That's okay. I just bet each of the guys in the card room a thousand bucks each that I could piss all over you and the bar and still make you laugh!"

My colleague placed himself on the casino self-exclusion list about 18 months ago. Now he said that he wishes to remove his name from the list so that he can gamble come CNY. However, I am told that the process to remove the name is cumbersome.

The casino is filled with superstitious, discourteous simpletons who are addicted to gambling.

See what I just did? I've summarized your observations into one sentence.

Many underground dens will operate during CNY. If you friend is keen, I can bring him along.

Thanks. But he is keen to be with his relatives at the casino, and so he is embarrassed that he has excluded himself.
Quite silly of him. I told him that since he excluded himself just let it be.

To put your name on the list you can simply go online, but to remove your name you must go to NCPG in person.

Once I was in a Bacarrat table.. i keep winning on small bets when I follow one uncle, thus we started to talk and discuss which bet to place next. Then at 1 point, I said...wah this one is hard to decide, uncle said "what u mean this one is hard, every game is hard..." do you agree sometime is easy to predict and sometime is hard ? In fact I find myself talking cock also, if some game are easier, then I should have place all my chips on that particular one :p

Good observations. Do continue the list.

Thank you. I will.

I noticed more foreigners employed as croupiers than locals. Quite easy to spot. Look at their name tags. Those non-PRC and Filipinos, most are not S'poreans too. From their names, more like Malaysians. Are S'poreans that selective that a casino job is not enticing enough? I find some of the PRC female croupiers quite chio.

I think Singaporeans shunned shift work hence I know alot of them have resigned after the contract period as ended...
