The NYPD has ramped up its investigations into funders of Hamas since the Oct. 7 attacks in Israel, a high-ranking law enforcement source said.
“We have had an investigation into anyone funding Hamas for a long time,” the source said. “Clearly, we have been looking more closely since 10/7.”
The investigation is being conducted by the NYPD’s Joint Terrorism Task Force with the FBI.

The source said the JTTF is also looking for possible threats in the Big Apple.
FBI head Christopher Wray testified to Congress this week that federal law enforcement officials had launched “multiple investigations into individuals affiliated” with Hamas since last month’s attack but found no specific credible threats.
